Bike to School Week is taking place all of next week.
Make sure you bike, scoot or walk to school for stickers and prizes!
This week, Group 2 enjoyed some time in the forest learning all sorts of fascinating facts about birds. We were lucky that many chicks have recently hatched so we could listen to them chirping. Some amazing birds nests were built by the girls who then practised collecting caterpillars, just like adult birds do to feed their young. Group 1 also had a fantastic time; they used sweep nets to catch all sorts of flying creatures and then pooters to transfer them into tubs so that they could examine them. The children also learned about the human impact on the birds’ habitats. More photos are in the Parent Area.
On May 17, or Syttende Mai, Norway celebrates its Constitution Day. All over the country, Norwegians are celebrating by watching children’s parades, cheering on high school graduates and enjoying special times with their friends and families. Make sure you wish someone ‘gratulerer med dagen!’ – a happy birthday wish for Norway!
Photos and highlight video can now be viewed in the Parent Area.
Reception have been learning about shadows in Understanding the World. We were lucky to have such sunny weather recently so that we could explore how they changed! More photos are in the Parent Area.
