Laura is a Consultant Dermatologist, leading the Paediatric & Adolescent Dermatology service across hospitals within the Royal Free London NHS Foundation Trust alongside her private practice. She grew up in West London, holds degrees in Medicine and Psychology from the University of Edinburgh, and was awarded a PhD in Genetics & Molecular Medicine. In addition to her clinical work, she is responsible for training resident doctors and medical students, balancing support with challenge, and strives to innovate and drive positive change within her department.
Laura lives by the river with her husband, a Consultant in Critical Care Medicine, and their three children. Both daughters attended Bute House, thus she is able to bring valuable insight as a recent former parent, as well as expertise in safeguarding, risk management and regulatory compliance, to her Governor role.
