From Vision To Reality

The Wellbeing Hub is now complete and fully operational, offering a safe, nurturing environment for our pupils and the wider community. This achievement was made possible through the incredible generosity of our supporters and sponsors, who helped us raise nearly £1 million. This transformative space now stands as a testament to what a united community can achieve. The Hub includes a Wellbeing Classroom, Therapy Room, and Reflection Terrace—each purposefully designed to nurture growth, healing, and self-discovery.

Why We Created This Space

The number of children in mental health crisis has reached record levels in England, as demonstrated in an analysis of NHS data by the mental health charity YoungMinds. In 2022, 18% of children aged 7 to 16 years old had a probable mental health disorder. Within this age range, rates rose from 1 in 9 in 2017 to 1 in 6 in 2020 and these statistics have remained stable until now.

Our children are facing so many pressures from a younger age; pressures to do well at school, pressure from their peers, and from society as a whole. It is our job, school and parents, to support our children and equip them with the mental resilience to withstand the challenges that they will inevitably face. Preparing children with the right tools is a priority so that they can enjoy their journey through Bute and beyond!
