Karen Green

Karen’s career spans Investment banking, private equity and the corporate sector, with a focus on financial services where she held various senior management positions including as Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, Managing Director and Head of Strategy and Corporate Development including Mergers and Acquisitions. She started her career at Baring Brothers and then Schroders.

She has significant board experience both as an Executive Director and as a Non-Executive Director of both publicly listed and private companies.

She currently holds a number of board positions including as Senior Independent Director and Chair of various Risk, Audit, Remuneration and Sustainability committees. She also provides consulting and advisory services with a particular interest in early-stage ventures and is a Trustee of a women’s healthcare charity, Well-Being of Women, which focuses on research, education and advocacy.

She has one daughter who joined Bute House in Reception and has recently started her secondary education. Karen is a former Chair of the parent body at Bute House, and in the Bute House community she was also known by her married name, Karen Stonehouse.
