Drama and Dance lessons take place in the Drama room or hall, depending on the activity. The Drama room houses stools, as well as a costume rail and prop boxes, for devising work. There are also free-standing studio lights in order to create ambience for class-based performances and character studies. The Drama room also has access to a high-functioning sound system for music accompaniment, as well as computer software access for both sound and video-editing purposes.
The Drama store cupboard contains various costumes and props acquired over the years from past productions.
A budget is available for the purchase of books, visual aids, music and props for curriculum Drama and Dance lessons.
There is also a separate budget for each production which is used to hire in additional staging and lighting or external professional practitioners in order to enhance the performance experience for the pupils.
In addition to the facilities in the Drama classroom, the hall is fully equipped with state-of-the-art lighting, projection and sound equipment to give that professional edge to our Drama and Dance productions.
