Reception had an amazing time investigating, learning and connecting with nature during our recent Forest School trip! Throughout the morning, we explored the fascinating world of birds. The children were particularly excited to observe the different types of nests, including those of blue tits and blackbirds. We even learned some “bird talk!”
A highlight of the trip was our creative activity where the children made their very own bird nests. Using their imaginative skills and acorn cups, they decorated their nests with feathers, grass, and buttercups. We also had the opportunity to observe some frogspawn in the pond, which sparked curiosity and thoughtful comments about the life cycle of a frog.
