Year 3 Spanish – ¡Caramba! (Year 3)
Year 3 hadn’t had Spanish for a while after the long holidays, so it was time to refresh our minds! The pupils revised old material by playing the game ¡Caramba!, and tested each other using their unit summaries, and applied their knowledge in a board game all about la Ropa.
Year 4’s Spanish Pen Pals (Year 4)
The pupils received new letters from their friends this term! 4N and 4G have learned about the borough of Triana, its famous sites, and the Spring Festivals celebrated in Seville, where their friends are from. 4I have learned all about their friends’ daily routines and have been able to make comparisons with their own. Year 5 Diamond Powers Shine on (Year 5)
After attending author/illustrator Bridget Marzo’s workshop on MFL Day, every Year 5 student created an illustrated French story, showcasing impressive variety and creativity. When they shared their stories with the Reception class, the younger students eagerly shouted “encore!” after each reading and evidently enjoyed the tales. Mme Thorpe-Woods
La Provence et la Poésie (Year 6)
After returning from their week on the slopes, Year 6 visited Provence in their French lessons and learnt all about Herbes de Provence. French craft and singing club
French club have been singing songs about l’automne et la noël and they have made serviettes de table last half term and cute bonhommes de neige for Christmas.
